Tournament in Karlsdorf kicks off the World Tour season in Germany

From April 11–12, the IFA World Tour tournament at TSV Karlsdorf (GER) offered a top-class fistball weekend with over 80 teams and numerous spectators.

Conditions were ideal on Saturday, and in the women’s final, Ohligser TV (GER) narrowly defeated TSV Dennach (GER) 13–10 in a thrilling match. TSV Dennach (GER) thus became the top team from the World Tour to reach 1000 points.

On Sunday, rain posed major challenges for the men. Nevertheless, a high-level tournament unfolded on the wet field. In the final, TV Waldrennach (GER) defeated TV SW-Oberndorf (GER) after falling behind in sets and won the decisive tiebreaker 5–4. With this victory, Waldrennach (GER) secured the tournament title. Finishing in 3rd place, DSG UKJ Froschberg (AUT) was the best team from the World Tour and thus secured 1000 points.

Overall, the tournament impressed with strong athletic performances, exciting matches, and excellent organization—an all-around successful fistball event despite changeable conditions.
