TV Stammheim hosted the Stuttgart Open for the 22nd time over the weekend of April 17–19. Following the women’s international match between Germany and Switzerland on Friday evening, the main tournament kicked off on Saturday with a total of 30 teams from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Numerous youth teams from the U10, U12, and U14 age groups were also in attendance.

In the women’s tournament, Alhorner SV (GER) claimed the gold medal, just as they did last year. They prevailed in a neck-and-neck race against the team Union Compact Freistadt (AUT).

The Austrian women thus finished in second place and, as the top team on the World Tour, earned 1000 points. TSV Dennach (GER) secured third place and the bronze medal.

In the men’s competition, last year’s champion also dominated. In a thrilling final against TV Wohnplan Enns (AUT), Union Tigers Vöcklabruck (AUT) prevailed with a narrow 0-2 (9-11, 9-11) victory. FBC Linz AG Urfahr, another team from Austria, finished in third place.
