published: April 1, 2026

From March 27–29 Sogipa- Ginastica Porto Alegre (BRA) hosted the 31st Copa Porto Alegre. Despite challenging hot weather conditions the teams delivered exciting matches and intense neck-to-neck games. Over 70 teams from 14 clubs competed in in the women’s and men’s divisions as well as in the U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, and U21 categories. The Brazilian U18 national team was also part of the international field of participants.

In the women’s competition the home team Sogipa – Ginastica Porto Alegre (BRA) continued its winning streak and—just like last weekend—secured the tournament victory once again. The final featured an all-Sogipa matchup, with Sogipa A (BRA) prevailing over Sogipa B (BRA). Both teams played fistball at the highest level. Third place, Clube Duque de Caxias (BRA), also earned important points for the IFA Fistball World Tour.

In the men’s competition Ginastica Novo Hamburgo (BRA) delivered a strong performance and celebrated its second victory of the World Tour season with a win over ASBP/FMD Condor (BRA) in the final. Third place, and with that points for the IFA Fistball World Tour, went to the team from Freistadt (AUT).
