published: March 24, 2026

The IFA Fistball World Tour 2026 kicked off in Novo Hamburgo with the 29th Copa Victor Körbes (category IFA 600) featuring an international field. From March 21st to 22nd a total of 27 teams from Brazil, Austria, and Argentina participated, creating a highly competitive field.

The first day of the tournament was played under bright sunshine and featured intense matches and numerous exciting games. Rain and stormy weather during the night and on sunday made conditions difficult on the second day, but the competition was able to continue as scheduled. Many matches turned into close, neck-and-neck contests.

In the women’s final, Sogipa Porto Alegre (BRA) prevailed against Clube Merces (BRA) in a closely contested match and secured the tournament victory and 600 points. The women of Clube Duque de Caxias (BRA) won the bronze medal after winning the match against Sogipa Porto Alegre B (BRA).

Also the men’s final was extremely exciting: In a close match between UFG Grieskirchen (AUT) and Ginastica Novo Hamburgo (BRA) the outcome was not decided until the fifth set. With a 3-2 victory, the win of the first World Tpur tournament 2026 went to the home team from Ginastica Novo Hamburgo (BRA). The team from Enns (AUT) made it to the third place followed by Clube Duque de Caxias (BRA) in fourth place.

The tournament thus marked a successful start to the 2026 World Tour.
