FBC Linz AG Urfahr and Union Compact Freistadt claim victory at the first tournament in Austria

published: April 26, 2026

On April 25, a total of 51 teams competed in three categories as well as in the junior competition at the 600-point tournament in Münzbach. With consistently good weather and ideal conditions, the tournament unfolded as a high-qualilty and exciting event throughout.

The women’s competition turned into a real neck-and-neck race: In the end, Union Compact Freistadt (AUT) narrowly edged out the FBV Grieskirchen (AUT) team to secure the tournament victory. Third place went to SPG Neusiedl/Wolkersdorf (AUT), which also became the second-best team in the World Tour standings.

In the men’s competition, FBC Linz AG Urfahr (AUT) successfully defended its title. In the final against DSG UKJ Froschberg (AUT) the team demonstrated clear dominance, leaving no doubt that the tournament victory was well-deserved. Third place—and with it, important ranking points—went to ÖTB Drösing (AUT).
